Survivor Season 42 is full of twists and turns. The season begins with 18 competitors and three tribes - Ika, Vati and Taku. And the first twist of the season begins immediately.
How Many Triangles Survivor
The first twist involved one contestant from each tribe running to catch a paddle. When the three competitors reach the paddles, they have a decision to make. They have the option to each get a paddle and return to their tribes, or all three participants can work together for a secret advantage. To get the secret advantage, the three competitors must translate 20 knots - but they must decide to go together.

Then, to cover their tracks from the rest of the cast, the three cast members who untied the ropes were given mud and fake blood to cover their bodies.
"To cover up your lie, spread mud and fake blood on your body to prove how hard you worked to get your paddles," says the twist. "You're moments away from the game ... and you've got your first big opportunity."
Season 42 has a decision to make: "Savvy" or "Sweat." They can complete a puzzle (savvy) or choose a tribesman who spends four hours filling a barrel of water with heavy bread (sweat).
The Vati and Taku tribes decided to try their hand at puzzles - and this is when the triangle puzzle was introduced. The puzzle shows a number of triangles inside a larger triangle. The tribes must count the total number of triangles in the puzzle.

So what is the answer to the triangular puzzle? There are 51 triangles in total in the puzzle - and both teams guess correctly. For their correct guesses, the tribes were awarded a machete, a flint, and a pot.
Season 42 takes place in a triangular puzzle. When the puzzle was first presented to the tribe, his fellow tribesmen thought they had the answer right away - but they were wrong. As a creative designer, he realizes that the puzzle is more complicated than it seems at first glance. Using his intelligence, he calculated the number of triangles in the puzzle.

At first glance, the image looks like a simple multi-shaped illustration. Now here's the problem: count the number of triangles in the drawing. People are scratching their heads at the different numbers they've come up with (something similar happens with this viral duck riddle).

Got an answer? If you've done the math and your answer is 24, congratulations, you got the majority. Most people on Quora agree that the answer is 24, with each row having six triangles. If you like shapes, also try to determine the number of squares in this image.
However, if you want to get technical, the actual "correct" answer is 25. The 25th triangle is hidden by the "A" in the artist's signature in the upper right corner. A very confused Quora user noticed that there is another triangle in the picture if you count the two "triangles". Math expert Martin Silvertant has posted a very helpful graphic on the site that explains how to find pictorial triangles and gives a logical explanation of how you can expand the number 26 on it. “The triangle is a mathematical idea rather than a real thing; Physical triangles by definition are not geometrically perfect, but approximate triangles. In other wos, pictorial triangles and wos that refer to triangles refer to the concept of a triangle," said Silvertant.
